Without a word, Ikshita was guided to sit against a tree, the rough bark pressing against her back for support. Her body trembled, every muscle stiff, every breath shallow, while the figure’s eyes scanned her face like a predator sizing prey — slow, meticulous, and growing more dangerous with every second.
